HUGIN NEUROCHEMICALS

The biotech company Hugin NeuroChemicals was founded in the spring of 2009 by the two brain researchers Anders A. Jensen and Lennart Bunch. On a daily basis the two scientists are heading their own research group at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, within molecular pharmacology and medicinal chemistry, respectively.

Hugin NeuroChemicals is based in the Copenhagen area, which is the Northern European epicenter for biotech- and pharmaceutical companies.

NORDIC MYTHODOLOGY - Who is Hugin?

In Scandinavian (Nordic) mythology the Gods Thor and Odin ruled! For his assistance, Odin had the two ravens Hugin and Munin who were sent out at dawn to gather news and information. In the evening they returned, where they would perch on the God's shoulders and whisper the news into his ears. The two ravens had the job split between them: Hugin is "thought" and Munin is "memory”.
